(1) Nyiragongo is one of the largest volcanoes in East Africa, it is located in Congo, former Zaire - If memory serves me well it is still active. (2) Kalisimbi is entirely located in Rwanda, in the Northern province, it has been in existence from time immemorial, its summit is sometimes white due to snow or white fogs. (3) Bisoke is well known for it is crate lake. You may wonder where does water comes from, most of it come from rain. Basically it is believed that it used to be active, as it rain water got stranded on its summit and hence crated a lac. (4) Lac Ruhondo and Lac Burera are two of what are most called mountaineous lacs, the two lacs are on a different altitudes which create a huge avalanche while water pulls from one to ther other. In between them is where Ntaruka Hydro-electric barrage was constructed.
